A bird in the grounds is the classic herald of tasseography: news is travelling toward you. Near the rim it lands within days — a call, a letter, a name lighting up your phone. Deeper in the cup, the message is still gathering itself, but it is already airborne.
Notice the bird's posture. Rising wings speak of invitations and good word; a perched bird suggests news that waits politely until you are ready to hear it.
