The frog is the cup's cheerful sign of transition — the creature at home in two worlds. It marks a leap between elements: a move, a career change, a crossing you have hesitated over that turns out to suit you better than the shore you left.
In old readings the frog also brought abundance and easy friendship. A frog mid-leap near the rim says: the jump is smaller than it looks from here.
